Bare Metal Restore v 2.7.0.32 - Sep 12 2022 [Click to expand...]

 Version

     v.2.7.0.32

 Release Date

     September 12 2022

Release overview

x360Recover Bare Metal Restore 2.7.0.32 is a maintenance release.  The primary purpose of this release is to fix a bug with local cache recovery and eliminate requirements for CPU hardware AES encryption support.

Summary of feature enhancements

  • Enabled detection of hardware CPU instruction support for required AES encryption with failback to software encryption support.
  • Fixed bug with local cache recovery causing Recovery Wizard to crash when mounting disks
  • Updated Recovery Wizard instructions to match new workflow introduced in the previous release

Summary of improvements

Hardware CPU support for AES encryption is no longer required to perform recovery from local cache. The Recovery Wizard will fail back to using software encryption if CPU support is not found.

Note:  Software encryption is 20-30% slower than hardware encryption and will impact time needed to perform the recovery.

For complete details on using BMR, refer to the Bare Metal Restore Guide.
