Overview

Did you know that you can use the empty drive trays already in the Mini tower (along with our storage upgrade kit, which includes drives and screws) to upgrade your Mini appliance?

The following instructions show how you can add the hard drives to the Mini.

Tooled Designs

  1. Remove the two empty drive carriers from the system.

  2. Discard the plastic filler bracket from the carriers.
A metal frame with a screwdriverAI-generated content may be incorrect.
  3. Put the hard drive in the carrier and use the four provided screws to secure it.
  4. Repeat for the second drive.

  5. Reinstall the two full drive carriers back into the system securely.

Tool-less Designs

We are transitioning from the legacy chassis design with tool-drive trays to a toolless design. Here are instructions for working with the tool-less drive trays.

Note: Remove the highlighted carriers from the system for the number of drives required for your configuration.

  1. Set the hard drive at a slight angle into the hard drive carrier.
  2. Ensure to line up the tabs in the carrier with the hard drive screw holes.
  3. Gently press the hard drive into the drive carrier.
  4. Repeat this process for the other hard drives on the order.
