This KB should not go out until the SSO issue from the RMC is resolved STOR-14488. Otherwise it would just create more support tickets.

RMC Client Access
Partner customers can have access to the Recover Manager (RMC) to only see the status of their backups, replications or Virtual Office settings or statuses.

Here they can remote to the vault and or their appliance(s) to see and access only their own protected systems logs, settings and data.

If Lockdown mode is enabled, the Client will only be able to access the vault and appliance from the RMC. (Link to Lockdown Mode)

If Lockdown Mode is not enabled then the Client can access them from the RMC or directly. The vault UI directly via the URL. The appliance UI can be accessed from within the Clients local network via a browser and the IP of the appliance.

User/Password
When a client/user is set up in the license portal, (appliance based backup), the user and password is automatically created in the RMC.

When a D2C customer is set up from the vault, the partner will need to go to the license portal and add the password for the client/user. (License Portal pic with arrow to both the checkmark beside the customer name and the "Set Password" button at the top)

Within a few minutes the license portal will sync with the RMC and the user can then log into the RMC via my.axcient.net. They will be prompted for creating MFA.

For the client to access an appliance, the partner will have to manually add the user/pw to the BDR/appliance under System Settings/Manage Users. Once done the client can remote to the appliance.

Note that on the RMC a client user can start and run a Virtual office production VM. On the vault a client user can export files/folders and VHD file types.
