Improvements

Data exported to PST is now reflected in the Audit Log

As a reseller, you can view a list of historical user activities by reviewing the audit log in the User Activity tab. This tab appears on the reseller-level or organization-level Audit Log page.

Following the release of our Export to PST feature in version 2.59.0, we've added the following export-related user activity events to be tracked in the Audit Log:

1.    User initiated an export to PST
2.    User downloaded an exported PST file
3.    User downloaded Contents file for an account export to PST

For each of these export-related user activity events, the email address (of the user account whose data was exported) is referenced in the Notes field.

  • Related details for system-level events will be coming in a future release.

To learn more on how to initiate an export, download a PST and its contents file or other details, please see Export Microsoft 365 user mailbox data to a PST file

Retention policy for data exported to PST

For each PST export in x360Cloud, a retention policy is applied.

Then, an expiration date and time is shown in the new Expiration column of the Export list:

Example:

Important notes:

  • Exported data (the PST files and the Contents files) are kept in the system and are available for download for 14 days from the date the export is initiated.
  • Three days before the retention period is about to expire, the expiration timestamp is highlighted with red:

After the retention period is over, the Download icon\link is no longer available, and system shows a Download expired label.

For more details on other aspects of our Export to PST functionality, please see the full Export Microsoft 365 user mailbox data to a PST file article.

How much data will be exported?

When you begin initiating an end user account export to PST, you can now see the amount of data within that account:

Fixes

  • Fix for the issue when x360Cloud is not automatically selecting for protection new containers registered in result of email address change on Microsoft 365 side.
  • Improved stability of backups for Microsoft 365 emails with multiple lare attachments by introducing a fallback method that is calling alternative Microsoft APIs.
  • Fix for the issue with the system failing to fetch some Microsoft 365 Calendar events.
  • Fix for the issue when restoration is failing for large Google Workspace email folders due to connection errors.
  • Fix for the issue when the “Download list as CSV File” link (for downloading a list of accounts with failed backups) is not working.

Known issues

  • Browsing and search results do not display all data backed up for a user container registered as a result of an email address change on the Microsoft 365 side.
  • When folders are partially selected and restored in x360Cloud Browser, each folder is processed as a separate restoration and is restored to a separate target folder in the target location.
  • Smart Search shows an incorrect number of matching results for Mail when using “Filter by collection”.
  • Descriptions for some issues and backup progress are not shown in the container-level downloadable backup report and on the Reports page.
  • Archive emails are restored in a separate (timestamped) target folder when restored with general emails.
