x360Recover 14.1.0 is a feature release, focused on delivering user experience feature enhancements, as well as providing security fixes and elimination of bugs
Summary of new features
- Enhanced Direct-to-Cloud agent installation management
- Provisioning Wizard UX improvements
- System host name is now set to Alias given during provisioning
- Enhanced agent for macOS download options
- Added ‘Clients’ column to Jobs pages on the Vault
- Real-time update of clients on vaults when new clients are created in Recover Manager
- Backend improvements for Linux Virtualization support (Future)
- Added support for medium and high resolution display types for running virtual machines
- Added support for using NVMe disks as storage pool devices
- Set SSO session timeout on vaults and appliance to 8 hours to match Recover Manager
- Added backend support for Usage-based Licensing (Future)
- Increased OS partition size on Nano / Single-Disk installations
NOTE: Single-Disk Installation no longer supports disks smaller than 1TB

- Block-enabling NFS service when no Host / IP access policies have been defined
- Upgraded JQuery to resolve known security vulnerabilities
- Replaced and renewed secret for Python flask container
- Resolved all known ‘Medium’ level security vulnerabilities
- Eliminate known OpenSSL security vulnerabilities
Summary of bug fixes
- Fixed issue where existing retention settings on the vault are lost and reset to default policy when converting a Storage-licensed protected system to Direct-to-Cloud mode
- Fixed an issue where a backup policy could be created with None defined for both Business Hours and Non-Business Hours (Backups would never be scheduled to run)
- Fixed issue with incorrect export path when using NFS Export on self-hosted Private Vaults when logged in as Admin
- Prevent Windows VM’s running on an Appliance from being suspended via APMI to prevent loss of access to the VM from Recovery Manager.
- Fixed an issue with Vault to Appliance Recovery when a backup is actively running when the final recovery pass is started
- Fixed case where long running Vault to Appliance Recovery operation might fail if the Appliance auth token expires
- Fixed issues with failing replications when the Protected System dataset has been relocated to a new storage node in the cloud
- Added new workflow and warning to prevent users from accidentally disabling the active Network adapter
- Do not run upgrade process in the background when the device is not provisioned, to prevent interruption of provisioning
- Fixed rare 500 error condition when creating a storage pool
- Fixed sorting by Storage Used on the System Information page to sort by actual GB
- Fixed bug where a recovery point could be mounted while AutoVerify operation was running on it
- Fixed issue where AutoVerify state was not retained on the Appliance when recovering and converting a Direct to Cloud protected system back to Appliance mode
- Fixed UI presentation when exporting disks with very long names
- Fixed bug where an exception might be raised in Mongo when sorting large tables
- Fixed bug where failed chkdsk results might not be sent to Recover Manager
- Fixed issue where AutoVerify chkdsk test fails if English language is not installed on the system
- Updated vdisk-fuse driver to handle edge case with dynamic VHDX exports
- Fixed bug where Vault Info field is overwritten on GMP whenever the Appliance syncs data
- Fixed issue with performance when recovering files and folders for macOS devices
- Fixed issue with symbolic links in macOS file and folder recovery
- Fixed issue with root folder missing for macOS file and folder recovery
- Fixed issue with incorrect start date/time shown in the update Web UI on Appliances
- Fixed issue with AutoVerify VSS check failing on Windows 7 protected systems
- Fixed issue with interrupted replication where a snapshot might already exist in the import folder on the vault
- Fixed issue when changing Vault replication schedule, changes were not being applied until after the next replication cycle
- Optimized backup complete check communications with storage node to remove extra API requests
- Fixed issue where the resulting details for failed AutoVerify chkdsk operations was missing
- Fixed issues where an Appliance with multi-path iSCSI storage might get stuck during reboot
- Fixed issue where NFS Exported disks might not be available after rebooting the Appliance
- Fixed issue where an incorrect Update Start Date was shown on the UI during the upgrade process
- Alias name provided during provisioning is now checked for uniqueness before proceeding
- Removed unneeded vsftpd service from Management Portal devices
- Removed deprecated packages
- Fixed issues with failed upgrade reporting via Telemetry
- Hardened ZFS pool upgrade process
