      3.64.0

Date

     United States —  February 12 2024
     Europe and Canada — February 13 2024

Goals

  • To update the connectors and billable SKUs lists.
  • Fix defects in UI\UX and address issues reported by users

Updates

"Google Sites" connector deprecated

We are deprecating the old “Google Sites” connector. It served protection of the Google Classic Sites content, which protected users were creating.

“The ability to edit classic Sites ended on January 30, 2023. Google has started migrating any remaining Classic sites in your domain. Any remaining Classic sites with an eligible owner for migration to new Sites will be auto-migrated to new Sites as a draft for site owners to review and publish.”  [Google]

Find more information about the deprecation in this Google Admin Help article

What does this deprecation imply on the Axcient x360Cloud side?

  • We are removing the “Google Sites” connector from the organization Settings page
  • The “Google Sites” connector from new organization creation process has been removed
  • We are eliminating pings to Google Classic Sites and respective backup status reporting
    • Backups for this connector have been reporting either “Unavailable” (indicating there is no new or changed data to be backed up) or “In Progress” status, due to recent degradation of Google API which are responsible for connecting to Classic Sites.

New Google Sites content created by protected users is backed up as Google Documents under the “Drive” connector in x360Cloud.

Classic Sites content is restored as a Google Document to Google Workspace Drive.

Updates to the list of billable Microsoft SKUs

The billable SKUs list has been updated to match Google and Microsoft:

Fixes

  • Fix for the root cause of the issue when OneDrive Browsing and Search results do not display all data backed up for a user as a result of the user’s email address change on Microsoft 365 side.
  • Fix for the issue when the system is reporting a restoration to be “Partial” due to the inability to restore SharePoint file permissions for a user that no longer exists in Microsoft 365. As the file is successfully restored, permissions restoration failure in this scenario will not be considered as a file restoration failure anymore.

Known Issues

  • When folders are partially selected and restored in x360Cloud Browser, each folder is processed as a separate restoration and is restored to a separate target folder in the target location.
  • Smart Search shows incorrect number of matching results for Mail when using “Filter by collection”.
  • Descriptions for some issues and backup progress are not shown in the container-level downloadable backup report and on the Reports page.
  • Archive emails are restored in a separate (timestamped) target folder when restored with general emails.
