New! Canadian data center for x360Cloud
Establishing a Canadian data center for x360Cloud has been one of our most requested features.
Our new data center in Canada is online and ready for x360Cloud data backup and recovery. Our Canadian x360Cloud partners can now better protect their client's Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data, while they comply with data sovereignty requirements.
Who can use this data center?
You can use our new Canadian data center for x360Cloud if:
- You or any of your clients are based in Canada and
- You have x360Cloud clients using Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
Why do Canadian partners need a data center in Canada?
Data sovereignty means your data is subject to the laws and governance structures of the country in which it’s located.
In-country data centers support data sovereignty for you and your clients by ensuring data remains within the jurisdiction and control of that country’s legal system.
What does Canadian data sovereignty involve?
Ultimately, data sovereignty empowers you and your clients with the following:
- Using a Canadian data center will help you be in compliance with Canadian data protection laws, such as the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Documents Act (PIPEDA).
- Client confidence is reinforced when they know their data is stored close by.
- Legal aid and jurisdictional protections in the event of cyberattacks caused by bad actors may give your clients recourse to local laws and regulations for a resolution.
How do I access the Canadian data center?
If you’re an existing x360Cloud user, you can turn on the new Canadian data center within the Axcient x360Portal.
