- Give your clients access to view their own backups
You can now provide multiple-user access for each client in the x360Recover Manager (RMC).
This will permit clients to see only their specific backups, replications or Virtual Office settings.
Important note: If LockDown Mode is enabled, your clients:
- cannot access their appliances locally
- cannot directly access their cloud vault
Client roles: admins or users
You can assign two types of client roles in x360Recover Manager (RMC):
- Client admins
- Client users
It is important to note that neither client role has access to the console of the appliance or vault
-
Client admins can gain remote access to their appliances or vault UI
- Client admin remote vault access is limited to the client’s own protected systems, logs, and data. The vault UI does not present tabs for the Backup Policies, Alerts, System Settings or Connectwise tabs.
- Client admins have access to the Recovery Center tools.
- Client admins can run a Virtual Office VM in a test or production mode.
- Client admins do not have access to the console of the appliance or vault
-
Client userscannot gain remote access to their appliance or vault UI
- Client users can run a Virtual Office VM in a test or production mode
- Client users do not have access to the console of the appliance or vault
The following permissions are available for each assigned role:

How to create a client account
1. Log into the x360 Recover Manager and click the Users tab.
2. Input the required fields and click Save. Note that the password will be temporary and must be changed when the client logs into the Recover Manager for the first time.
3. Send the login credentials to the client in a secure fashion, such as a secure snippet or encrypted file. Include the relevant parts of the client first time login instructions below.
4. Should you give the client an admin role that has appliance-based backups, you will need to create a user for them in the local appliance after the client has set up MFA and changed the password.
5. Once the client has provided you with the new password, go to the local appliance and choose the System Settings tab in the lower left.
6. Expand the Manage Users tab.
7. In the left corner, click the Add User button.
8. Enter the client admin’s username and password and click the Add button to save.
