Uninterrupted web editing session with Microsoft 365

For secure data exchange with Microsoft 365, we share security tokens with Microsoft 365. Those tokens enable Microsoft 365 to access the file a user is editing.

We noticed that during long editing sessions, the tokens could expire, and Microsoft 365 sometimes couldn't reach the x360Sync server due to connectivity issues. The user would then be asked by Microsoft 365 to reload the Web Editor page in order to refresh the tokens.

To improve the user experience during lengthy editing sessions, we increased the frequency of token renewal. This change helps Microsoft 365 refresh the tokens before they expire. As a result, users can now work with the Microsoft 365 Web Editor securely - and without interruptions.

Updated icons 

To make the user interface easier to read, we touched up the appearance of some icons.
For example, we added icons that correspond to each section. This will save time for admins when they scan the Dashboard page while searching for a section.

Improved performance and reliability of the Download Zip feature

Previously, when a user selected a folder and clicked Download Zip, x360Sync scanned the complete folder structure. This scan was done to calculate the size of the resulting zip package, which was then displayed during the download progress.

In large and deeply nested folders, this scan could be time-consuming, and a user had to wait for it to finish before the download started.

Starting with this version, the download process for the requested zip starts immediately. The size calculations no longer block the download process, which makes the Download Zip operation faster. This also improves reliability in cases when long-running calculations could cause cancellation of the download operation due to the network timing out.

Note: The downside of the new approach is that we cannot communicate the download progress to the browser, since we no longer pre-compute the total zip package size.
