Symptom
In some instances, when attempting to create a new organization, you might receive an error message indicating that the organization limit has been reached.
Cause
If an organization limit has been reached, you will no longer be able to create new organizations. The system will still allow the sync process, logins, root creation, and so forth to continue as expected.
As a first step, you should attempt to adjust the Max Number of Suborganizations policy for the parent organization.
Alternatively, if you cannot adjust this policy, please contact your Account Manager to increase the maximum number of organizations allotted to your account.
Resolution 1
To adjust the Max Number of Suborganizations policy:
- In the administrative web portal, navigate to the appropriate parent organization.
- Click the Settings tab, and then click the Policies button.
- In the Max Number of Suborganizations field, enter a number to represent the maximum suborganization count; enter 0 for unlimited.
- Click the Save button when you are finished.
Resolution 2
If you cannot adjust the Max Number of Suborganizations policy using the instructions outlined above, or if you continue to receive an error message, please contact your Account Manager.
