Export VM - First Boot is a Blue Screen

After exporting a backup of a physical machine to a VM format (vmdk, vdi, vhd or raw) and configuring your new Virtual Machine, you get a Blue Screen on boot.

This occurs because the proper hard drive type is not selected for the exported hard drive format.  x360Recover uses a generic IDE controller to be compatible with all VM formats.

When creating the Virtual Machine definition on the hypervisor, ensure that you select 'IDE' as the type of storage controller rather than 'SCSI'.

Alternatively, boot the system from the x360Recover Recovery Toolkit, and use the Driver Injector to install the correct storage controller drivers into the Virtual Machine image.
