Overview

In some instances, desktop clients installed on local machines might not process file deletions.

Example: A user deletes files in the web portal, but complains that these files still reside on his local machine.

Cause 

This error occurs when end users utilize the following:

• Windows Preview Pane in Windows Explorer
• Adobe Reader

When the user previews a PDF file on his local machine, the preview process (prvhost.exe) is not letting go of the PDF file. This might cause the desktop client to not process deletions as expected.

Solution

It is recommended that the user download and install Foxit PDF Preview Handler to preview PDF files.
